Error message explained:

TikTok Shop error

Indicates that this error is returned directly from TikTok Shop Seller Center, not from the syncing app.

Stock count is invalid, less than open stock limit

Means the inventory value being synced from your DTC store is below the campaign-locked inventory threshold, making the update invalid.

Current open stock: (value)

Represents the current available inventory level recorded in TikTok Shop at the time the update was rejected. This value does not represent the campaign-locked inventory threshold.

Examples of Campaign types:

  • Platform campaign (e.g. BFCM, Spring Sale, seasonal or promotional events)

  • Seller initiated campaigns

Behavior:

  • Prevents inventory from being synced below the campaign-locked quantity

  • Rejects inventory updates at the entire product listing (PID) level, not just individual SKUs

Resolution Options

  • Temporary withdraw from the campaigns to allow inventory syncing to resume;

  • Manually override the inventory in TikTok Shop Seller Center;

  • If the SKU is already out of stock, deactivate the listing to prevent further inventory sync errors.

  • Contact TikTok Shop to request a potential exemption from campaign-related inventory lock behavior.
